Volcanic
findings, erupted by the Corbaro mountain during the VI century
B.C., visible on a path which goes throughout a good part of the
garden, are formed by splinters of volcanic rock weighing a few
grams as well as enormous pieces of hundreds of quintals. Their
dark, reddish and grey colour witnesses the depth, which they come
from: respectively of 500, 400 and 300 m.
Exotic gardens with flowers and fruit in any season create a special
itinerary of strong historical and naturalistic interest; tropical
plants and Mediterranean essences are added to the orchard which,
beginning with the medlars, first fruit in season (April) and ending
with the sorb-apples, last fruit in season (November), make it possible
to call The Corbaro Park "a little paradise corner".
Thanks to a perfect syntony with flora, many garden and winged
animals found in the Corbaro Park their habitat. These ideal friends
of naturalistic stops render even more suggestive the atmosphere
of the place.
Beyond
the pleasure of spending some hours in touch with nature, the Corbaro
Park offers its visitors the chance of admiring the panorama on
the whole eastern slope of the island.
There is only a word to define it: BREATH-TAKING.
Overhung by the Frassitelli Mountains it is easy to distinguish
cruise ships in the offing of Punta Imperatore, which plough the
Tyrrhenian waves or joyful sea-gulls librating in the always blue
sky, which joins with sea.
A perfect mix of nature, relaxation and wellness.
We would like to give you a good piece of advice: please forget
city noises, smog, chaos. The only "noises" to be heard in the Corbaro
Park are the rustling of leaves, the chirruping of birds and the
sounds of the animals.
